Day Thirteen

Afternoon!
I have returned to give yesterday's post a quick blurb. Thoughtful of me. I was too busy talking to J last night to comment. I'm absolutely smitten (cute). I digress. I noticed I haven't been consuming a whole lot over the last few days. Normally, I would criticise those who digest next to nothing but I honestly haven't been hungry. Being Weight Watchers savvy, I am fully aware I am only supposed to consume a maximum of three points under my allowance. However, I don't feel any guilt because if you aren't hungry, why eat. I would only end up scoffing two or three chocolate bars to increase the total. Pointless.

Day Twelve: Part III

Afternoon!
I can safely admit that last night was an Epic Fail in terms of resistance. I drank five double vodka diet coke's, in all honesty it was ten single vodka diet cokes, but five makes me sound less of an alcoholic. Fail. I smoked. Fail. However, I don't feel guilty. A cheeky social Marlborough isn't going to kill me and I came under points, partially because I refused to consume dinner, how very outrageous of me. My sources also inform me that dancing can burn over 300 calories an hour and although I am not going to record a point gain on the exercise front, I owned the floor from 11.00pm until 300am. Hardcore.

Having just reread that paragraph, I realise I am in denial. Meh.
I have also lost my voice. Bad times. Pretty sure my flat friends aren't complaining. Desperately seeking rediscovery of vocal chords.

Day Twelve: Part II

I have just realised, through browsing various weight loss blogs, that I have neglected to post something somewhat critical. A goal. Silly me. Obviously the goal is to be thin, specifically:

Start Weight: 219 Pounds
Goal Weight: 154 Pounds
Body Mass Index: 34.1
Goal Body Mass Index: 24.9
Dress Size: 16/18
Goal Dress Size: 10/12

Day Twelve

Morning!
So this is just a quickie to inform you that today's point intake will be posted tomorrow. Double whammy people. Be excited.

It is 6.38 am, I did not know this time of day existed. I hardly slept last night so I am not exactly thrilled I have an eleven hour shift to get through before attempting set Romford alight with L and H. Which brings me to the reason for this blog, apart from boredom, I am not drinking tonight. I heard that collective intake of breath. Shock. I have come to this decision for numerous reasons, which I will list:
1. I have quit smoking (four days now and I feel about a fiver up) and I know having a drink will make me crave my Marlboroughs. Alcohol and cigarettes, much like fish and chips, are a match made in heaven.
2. I am a penniless student and cannot, in all honesty, afford alcohol (not in the quantities we drink anyway).
3. The calories. I figure if I don't drink, not only will I be saving precious points normally frittered away on Malibu and Jaegar Bombs, I will also be getting more out of my dance floor workout. Good times.

We shall see how this works out. I'm going to be honest and say I doubt I will be able to stick to the plan, but if I stray, I must ensure it is with Vodka Diet Coke, every other drink is a water and I do not smoke.

Day Eleven

Evening!
I haven't really behaved myself today, so I'm committing a heinous crime, skipping dinner. Little Miss Piggy was out in full force this afternoon and now she must pay.

I indulged in a ridiculously big breakfast, thinking lunch would be a small affair. I was wrong (and believe me, you will not hear those three words often). I received a phone call inviting me to luncheon at the most deliciously fattening, one look at a sandwich and you put on a stone, cafe in existence. I should have run screaming in the opposite direction, instead I chose to dive straight into the fire. What can I say, it was worth every calorie. As was the chocolate crispy cake I ate for dessert. Still managed to save a point though, go team me.

Day Ten

Afternoon!
Even though I'm still feeling rough, I managed to drag my sorry ill ass to the gym which turned out to be an inspired decision. My body appreciated the workout. My purse, however, didn't approve of the post Fitness First spending spree in Northcote Road. Two dresses; Cynthia Rowley and Mercer & Madison. Lush

Day Eight

Morning,
I was supposed to post this last night, but have not been entirely well, apologies...

Today was the big W.I. and I was more petrified of those scales then small children are of Freddy Kreuger. Disformation; scarring; stretch marks; and that's just looking at my stomach.

Weight: 217 Pounds
Loss: 2.75 Pounds
Points Allowance: 24 Points/day

I'm feeling pretty smug right now. If anyone would care to enlighten me on how I lost three pounds after that, quite frankly, disgusting 'diet' week, I will digest (no pun intended) your statistics. My target last week was to incorporate more exercise into my routine. Check. This week's is to not waste those precious accumulated gym points on cheeky glasses of vino and excessive frequenting of food establishments. That said, I am supposed to be attending my brother's birthday meal this evening. Bollocks.

Managed a gym session this morning, feel amazing. Stuffed up, but amazing. Normally, outside the confines of Fitness First, I climb one flight of stairs or run ten metres for the bus and end up panting, sweating and red. Attractive. However, miracles never cease and a fifty flight climb followed by a ten minute sprint prove this. Let's hope I can apply this display of stamina to 'real world' circumstances. I think not.

Points Gained: 12.0

Delicious. No idea how many points were in anything, so I'm going to let today slide. Not a great start, but at least the portions were miniscule and my morning gym session was hardcore.

Day Seven

Evening!
So you may have noticed I have been negligent towards Skinny.Cinnamon.Dolce.Latte. I began with a pledge of honesty and I have honestly forgotten what I consumed Saturday and Sunday. Bad times. Absolutely nothing to do with copious amounts of alcohol or a children's birthday party where I allocated myself a convenient buffet seat. Unfortunately I have to get on the scales tomorrow and I am almost certain that one day of virtue does not compensate for five, yes five, days of sin.

Day Three & Day Four

Evening!
Having just calculated last nights intake of points I am both ashamed and in awe. I made a schoolboy error; drinking before reaching Loch Fyne, the restaurant we dined (read as terrorised) for M's Birthday. Between eight of us, we completely abolished the bread baskets (of which there were five, disgusting behaviour).

2 Single Vodka Diet Coke 2.0
Jaegar Bomb 1.0

Points Used: 34.5
Points Saved: -10.5

Fortunately I was sensible enough to bash out a morning gym session. The alcohol fuelled booty shaking probably helped burn off, at very least, the Jaegar Bomb. Fingers crossed. Unfortunately points gained are not inclusive of drink dancing, regardless of having owned the floor. Which we did.

I regret not having a hangover. Having an alcohol related illness means food does not pass my lips and, therefore, does not spend a lifetime (or any time) on my hips. Psychologically, this leaves me with little or no guilt over the previous nights binge. Instead, M, H and L decided we should frequent Pizza Express. We had vouchers ( it's pathetic, I know). Happily, the father concocted an absolutely diabolical meal this evening and I missed out on unnecessary lamb burger calories (no disrespect to the old man, he's usually an ace chef, just occasionally a little too experimental). Good times.

Day Two

Evening!
Having spent the day rushing to complete my design work in preparation for an interim review tomorrow morning, I opted, quite cleverly, to pack a delicious serving of Cous Cous for luncheon. However, having cleared a full ten hour day, I barely have enough reserved energy to complete today's blog, let alone cook dinner. Hence the abnormally high consumption of toast. Perhaps I should give up bread for Lent?

Day One

Evening!
Welcome to my Weight Loss Blog. If are an avid dieter you will shortly realise I am following the WeightWatchers plan. I have decided to Blog in order to help not only myself, but others following a similar regime. I am going to be completely honest, recording my points consumption accurately, my thoughts and feelings.
This weeks target is to incorporate more exercise into my weekly routine.

Weight: 219.75 Pounds
Points Allowance: 24 Points/day

2 Medium Slice White Bread 2.0
5g Low Fat Spread 0.5
1500ml Water 0.0
400g Heinz Cream of Tomato Soup 5.0
2 Medium Slice White Bread 2.0

1500ml Water 0.0
Meatballs, Sauteed Potatoes 7.0
1 Milk Chocolate Digestive 2.0
1 Slice Thorntons Toffee Cake 7.0
2 Medium Slice White Bread 2.0
5g Low Fat Spread 0.5

Points Used 34.0
Points Saved -10.0

Having said I am going to be honest, I am ashamed to admit how much I have snacked today. Fruit and Vegetables being alien territory in my flat, carbohydrates appear to have taken precedence throughout the day. Bad times. Fortunately, my visit to Fitness First (also alien territory) should counter-act the unnecessary points consumption. Good times.

Having wasted my Fitness First membership for over three months and beginning to feel like I may as well be lighting my Marlborough's with twenties, I decided it was time to don my Nikes and Pump It Up.
Having spent 30 minutes on the Cross Trainer, completed 20 minutes RPM and finished with a 5 minute sprint Linford Christie would have been proud of, I felt wonderfully energised. The gym may become, once again, a close friend and ally in the fight against fat.
